1. Do you know why utensils are coated black ?

reason : As black absorbs max heat from the fire, so utensils are coated black to absorb max heat from fire give it to the vegetables to be cooked .

2.Do you know why ventilators in the rooms are provided just below the roof ?

reason : As hot air has less density ,it moves upward by means of convection .so to escape hot air out of rooms ventilatiors are provided just below the roof.

3.Gaps should be left between two successive rail tracks .

reason : A small gap should be left between two successive rail while laying railway tracks to allow linear expansion in summer. (in summer expansion and during winter contracts ).

4. Bottom of the utensils are made of copper .

reason : Copper being a good a conductor of heat , it promotes distribution of heat over the bottom of utensils for uniform cooking.

5. The roofs of buildings are often painted white during summer.

reason : White is a good reflector of heat whereas black is a adsorber of heat so to keep the building cool roofs are painted white.
